Administration
Message from the Principal
Dear Gladiola families,
Welcome to Gladiola. My name is Jake Musser. I am currently in my 23rd year in education, and my 15th year as a school administrator. I’ve worked in Grants Pass School District for 20 of the 23 years I have spent in education. I am so excited to step in as the principal of Gladiola. I have witnessed firsthand the importance of family on the Gladiola campus, and I look forward to being part of this community. If your children have attended District 7 schools, your child has probably had either myself or one of my relatives working with them within the schools. I have a brother and two sisters who teach within the district, as well as my wife who is a Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant, and a niece and nephew who are teachers within the district as well. We are a family of educators, and we have grown up in a family that values the importance of a great education, and supporting students in whatever capacity is needed.
At Gladiola, we value the importance of every student getting the opportunity to be who they are and express themselves in a way that makes them feel safe and comfortable. It doesn’t matter where they have come from, but we do want to be the support system for where they are going. Our ultimate goal is to help every child earn their high school diploma or GED. We will encourage all students to reach their potential and become responsible, productive citizens, and this will ultimately pay off for them in the long run. We are proud of our highly qualified and passionate teachers who go above and beyond to ensure that every student receives the support they need to succeed.
This year, we will continue to focus on students working towards their end goal of walking across the stage with their diploma in hand, and we welcome your support and involvement. We believe that communication and collaboration are key to a successful school year, and we encourage parents and community members to stay involved and engaged in our school.
Please check ParentSquare or our website for updates and information on upcoming events and notices.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children. We look forward to a great year of learning and growth at Gladiola High School.
Sincerely,
Jake Musser
